Physical Therapy

Pediatric physical therapists work in collaboration with families whose children are experiencing conditions, illnesses or injuries that limit their ability to move or function. Whether the child has difficulty gaining skills such as crawling or walking or needs help regaining lost skills, services are aimed at promoting a child's ability to function independently and participate actively in home, school, and community environments.

With expertise in movement and applying clinical reasoning through the process of examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention, pediatric physical therapy facilitates motor development and function, improves strength and endurance, enhances learning opportunities, and eases challenges with daily care giving. Services provided virtually will focus helping parents understand the dysfunction and through a comprehensive treatment plan, teach parents how to promote development and remediate skills with activities they can do at home in the child’s natural setting.
